Charlie Watts died

Today, August 24, in London at the age of 80, the drummer of The Rolling Stones Charlie Watts died.

Charlie Watts was born in 1941 in London, graduated from Harrow Art School, and worked as a graphic designer.

In 1955, parents presented Charlie Wattsu as a drum installation, in the late 1950s he began to play in jazz ensembles. Since 1961, he played in London rhythm-end-Blue clubs with the Blues Incorporated group.

In 1963, Charlie Watts became the drummer of The Rolling Stones , he not only participated in the recording of the group’s albums, but also created covers for them. In 1989, together with the rest of The Rolling Stones, he was introduced into the Rock-n Roll Hall of Glory, in 2006-in the Glory Hall of Modern Drummer magazine, in 2016 took 12th place in the rating of the Sterest Drummers of all time according to Rolling Stone magazine.

In addition to concert and studio work in The Rolling Stones, Charlie Watts performed and recorded with famous jazz performers, released nine albums, including with his own quintet and as part of The ABC & D of Boogie Woogie .
