The newly appointed First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will serve as deputy chairman of the recently created commission on interaction between the federal center and the constituent entities of the federation. Medvedev's special status is deliberately emphasized in government statements. “I really hope that this will help improve coordination in the work of ministries and departments,” Head of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Fradkov said today.
