Alexander Manotskov will perform in House 12

Alexander Manotskov (b. 1972) - author of instrumental and vocal works performed in Russia and abroad. The works of Manotskov are included in the repertoire of the Moscow ensemble of modern music, the Opus Posth ensemble Tatyana Grindenko, the ensemble of ancient Russian spiritual music “Sirin” Andrei Kotov, the N'CAGED ensemble Arina Zvereva and others.

The author of several operas, including Gvidon (in the Schi Theater; 2011 Golden Mask in the nomination “Experiment”), Golden (in the Stanislavsky Theater, 2009; by order of the Golden Mask festival), “Haugtussa” ( Rogaland Teater , Stavanger, Norway, 2011), “The Four Quartets ” ( E. “Poems are a mysterious thing for me: I love them all my life, although I have been doing something in a sense opposite. A purely composer relationship with verses is a rather specific thing, and the composer’s music always speaks about them than his words. - says Alexander Manotskov. “But the music as such, despite the fact that it occupies me almost entirely, still does not exhaust everything that is connected with poetry for me, and this is not blank, although also a musician (there is no other), you can try to express it, and somehow, possibly convey. Of course, I will allow myself some inconsistency, and without singing it will not do, but it will definitely not be a concert. ”

The project “Poems about me in house 12” began in 2014. He is dedicated to the writer and journalist Peter Weil - the author of the book “Poems about me”, which included 55 most important poems of the twentieth century for him and thoughts about them.

Among the speakers in “Poems about me” are the poets Anatoly Nyman, Elena Fanailova, Sergey Gandlevsky, Andrey Rodionov and Stanislav Lvovsky, architect Alexander Brodsky, musicians Oleg Nesterov and Umka, Philologists Roman Timenchik and Viktor Sonykin, film critic Anton Dolin, philologist Oleg Lesmanov, journalist Anna Narinskaya, co -founder "Falanster" Boris Kupriyanov.
