From agroleasing to agricultural farming

Recently, to replace two governors, the president had to decapitate the Ministry of Agriculture (Deputy Minister Alexander Kozlov was sent to the Oryol region, Minister Alexei Gordeev to the Voronezh region). However, on March 12, Elena Skrynnik, head of Rosagroleasing OJSC, was appointed minister. It can be assumed that Dmitry Medvedev responded in this way to a remark made by the Spanish government that there should be more women in power.

The candidacy of Skrynnik, who is a member of the Supreme Council of United Russia, was also recommended by the communists. Skrynnik was at one time the initiator of the creation of the leasing industry in Russia. Since 1997, she has headed the Rosleasing company, and since 2001, Rosagroleasing, which was involved in attracting investments into the Russian agro-industrial complex, supporting domestic agricultural producers, and modernizing the economy.
