According to ABC News , the farewell ceremony with the composer will be held in Hamburg.
James Last (real name Hans Last) was born in Bremen in 1929, in 1946 his first public speech took place, in 1948 he began to play in the Last-Becker Ensemble ensemble, in the early 50s was recognized as the best bassist of Germany.
In 1964, the musician created his own orchestra and began to write arrangements of popular songs. Since then, the orchestra has released more than 50 albums with a total circulation of 60 million copies, of which 37 became “golden”, and 18 “platinum”.
One of the most famous compositions of Last, Einsamer Hirt (Lonely Shepherd), entered the soundtrack of Quentin Tarantino to Kill Bill ( Kill Bill ) in 2003.
