Around Chechnya

One of the leaders of the Chechen separatists, representative of the State Defense Committee of Ichkeria Movladi Udugov is close to the truth. Saying that Dagestan, Ingushetia, and other republics of the North Caucasus are already “points of concern,” he is not telling us anything new. We ourselves know very well: the war has gone beyond the borders of Chechnya. This is proven not only by hostage takings and explosions. It’s just that today life in almost the entire Caucasus is not much different from life in Chechnya: people are disappearing everywhere, purges are taking place, human rights are being violated.
