Three members of the banned National Bolshevik Party were detained in Moscow on March 9. A criminal case has been opened against Mikhail Pulin, Pavel Zherebin and Alena Goryacheva under the article “hooliganism”. Member of the NBP Executive Committee Alexander Averin, in an interview with Ekho Moskvy, said that the reason was “a certain incident” that occurred in November 2008 and was regarded by the opposition as a provocation. As Other Russia reports, two more National Bolsheviks, Andrei Nikitin and Alexey Makarov, who are wanted by the police, may be involved in the same case.
On March 12, “The Other Russia” plans to hold the Day of Dissent in 20 cities, including Moscow, and this time no one is going to officially notify the capital’s authorities.
