Friendship against aggression

The murder of 18-year-old Peruvian Angeles Hurtado, a student at the Voronezh University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, forced the leadership of city universities to increase security measures. And foreign students were advised to “avoid appearing in places where the situation could escalate” (in total, about 1,200 foreigners study at universities in Voronezh). The exhortations of the authorities had the exact opposite effect. In response, about 300 students marched through the center of Voronezh shouting “We want to live, we want to be friends!”
