From December 31 to January 1, the security of Russians will be ensured by more than 300 thousand police officers. As promised, during the holidays they will try to restrain hostility towards drunk citizens. “All squads that go on duty are focused on providing assistance to citizens who are intoxicated,” assured First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Alexander Chekalin. “The police, one might say, will act as Santa Clauses - they will deliver gifts to the families of their spoiled relatives.”
