I think that those who believe that Khodorkovsky and his lawyers missed a unique chance to turn the second process from the process of protection (defeat) into the prosecution (victory) process are right. Instead of defending himself from idiotic accusations, it was necessary to go on an attack ourselves. Change the essence of the process: from criminal to political. Putin judged Khodorkovsky, it was necessary to turn what was happening to the court of Putin. It is not a charming and melancholic Christian philosopher to turn Khodorkovsky, the unfortunate victim of the regime, which is easy to sympathize with and which is now shining for the third term, and in the formidable prosecutor, in the Pushkin Prophet. That is, this process as a political rostrum, with which the secrets of gaining oligarchic states would not be revealed (what secrets could be today, when Chubais himself admitted that privatization was gangster and it was the bandits who dismantled the entire hut through the logs), and the exposure of the political crimes of the current regime. Namely, the transformation of the country in which gang capitalism triumphed (so, I remind you, Soros believed) with the rudiments of political freedoms, simply to a gangster country without any rudiments.

The point is not that everyone who wants to know is also known about this. And the fact that the tribune and, above all, the tribune of the process, which the whole world is following, is not an amplifier. If Khodorkovsky in response to the Jesuit accusations of Putin and his dreams declared an open war to them, he would, of course, closed the topic of the acquittal. But for the whole world it would turn into an incredibly significant political figure. Would become a real candidate for the president of Russia plus - cornerstone in relations between Russia and the West. All negotiations would have begun with the demand of freedom Khodorkovsky, and not like today - a little shy, according to duty, almost for the sake of decency - but seriously. And then even an exchange or emigration would have benefited him, he would still remain a number one candidate for post number one. Perhaps he would even have forgiven the fact that he is half a Jew.

And only I had to say: yes, I am a participant in gangster privatization, yes, I took advantage of the possibilities that I had, but I understood this, realized and even tried to change something, for which I paid. I'm sitting for this. But now I quite frankly declare: the regime built in Russia has been and remains criminal, and he needs to be dismantled with his criminal elite. The point is not what to build - something more like capitalism, as in the USA, or socialism, as in Germany or Sweden. And in the fact that to take freedom from the people is a crime, replacing poor democracy with even more poor authoritarianism - a crime, the transformation of the state into a roy of corrupt officials from a throne is a crime. I say this, I said this, they judge me for it.

Didn't I get too much, imagining myself Khodorkovsky? For pathos - sorry. But I increase the tone, because it would be difficult for me to be in the position of the disgraced oligarch, under any circumstances I could not be the secretary of the Komsomol district committee, never stood so close to the feeding trough to be the first at the very beginning of the distribution. And, on the contrary, she always smallly saw all these Komsomol members, communists, Kagashnikov, believing that the lack of lustration was the basis of all our troubles with Putin in the end. And the shadow of this on everything, although, on the other hand, everyone has the right to correct errors. And we all have only one mistake - not the elimination of the Soviet past, which became the foundation of the new Russia and the foundation of rotten.

Khodorkovsky can not get away from his past. But this past not only disconnects him from numerous opponents, but also connects with those who also have the right to say at a difficult moment: who will be the first to throw it without sin ... Protecting Khodorkovsky, we have the right to simplify anything, because this is our life too. Because we also shake the term along with Khodorkovsky and Lebedev, and while they will eat Balanda, we will also choke on the air that we breathe. And until they be released, in prison, albeit not physical, but psychological, we will be. Because Putin with his persecution achieved that it was Khodorkovsky who became a personification of our time. He, purified by humiliation, became like us, and we feel him like ourselves. Despite all property differences.

It is approximately clear why Khodorkovsky did not go to turn his process from criminal into political. Alas, he continued to hope. He decided: it will be enough if you show that the prosecution is insolvent, ridiculous, bastardly. Not enough. We are not enough. And he is not enough. But he deep down he was counting on the remnants of his conscience, if not Putin, then with Medvedev. It was not worth calculating, this is a mistake, and the revelations of the nanustrizer in Davos confirmed this. Khodorkovsky had to have the advisers who would tell him: now you just have no other choice but to become not a political prisoner, but a political figure with a chance to renew Russia. After all, the regime is not dying, Russia is expelled if the Soviet and perestroika past will not be cleaned as a purulent appendicitis. And few have many opportunities for this today as yours. Yes, no one has.

Although a unique chance is missed, not everything is lost. There are appeals, there is a shameful prospect of a third period, there are many mechanisms that allow you to increase bets in this game, turning it into a serious political war. The war with the regime, which could be inflicted on a deadly blow by breaking an unspoken agreement - not to talk about politics. Khodorkovsky should not have believed the goodness, it was not worth turning into a sacrifice - our society is mercilessly, it does not believe in tears and soft reproaches. It does not believe anything at all and has every right to do so. He was too long and too cruelly deceived. But in the position of the Sidelz there is a strong side. Suffering cleanses , and the voice from the ultrasound is strengthened thousands of, because in prison, especially the Russian prison, a person is defenseless. Nobody and nothing will protect him, except for reputation. So you need to create a reputation for such a granularity that Putin or his accomplices themselves stand at night at the mbh bang, protecting it, so that some idiot does not climb on it with sharpening. Because for his death, he would have answered his life. In this world, reputation is the only thing that leaves hope.

I do not reproach Khodorkovsky. I pity him, but I regret both myself and all those whom Putin and Pinki have driven in the next Dead End. Therefore, I say: MB, you have no other way, how to become a hero.
