A jury made a sensational decision yesterday in the case of the murder of the Tajik girl Khursheda Sultonova in February 2004 in St. Petersburg. One of the eight young people who appeared before the board was acquitted, while seven were found guilty of hooliganism. The court ruled that “unidentified persons who are still wanted are guilty of the murder.” The trial, without a jury, will continue on Friday. The punishment for the defendants will be determined. However, the court can no longer influence the establishment of the fact of their guilt.
