Dasha Schulz is 20 years old, and she releases the second album "Ballerina". According to the matured singer who moved to Moscow from St. Petersburg, he shows her other, dark side. Famous musicians took part in the record of the “ballerina”: Dmitry Pavlov (“megapolis”, Therr Maitz, “Both two”), Dmitry Chervyakov (“Megapolis”), Pavel Vovk (“Mumiy Troll”, Optimystica Orchestra) and Dmitry Emelyanov (Zemfira, “both two”).
Today, May 19, along with the “ballerina”, which is already available on the network , the “sea” is released - the duet Dasha Schulz and the leader of Therr Maitz Anton Belyaev. You can listen to him first and right now:
My life has changed dramatically recently. I deducted from the university, moved to Moscow and entered the new university. Now I am studying clinical psychology, as always I wanted. But the main reason for moving is music. She is in the first place for me. The musicians with whom I play live in Moscow. It was impossible to combine our musical life. And now I can study, work and engage in music for nothing.
After the first Moloko album , many listeners mistakenly thought that I was a nice little girl: love, soap bubbles, plush bears ... But I am not like that. It seems to me that the “ballerina” shows the other side of Dasha Schulz. Not so bright.
My new song period began with the "ballerina". I began to play on the synthesizer - all new songs on it were written. The “ballerina” came the very first and determined both sound and concept, and in general the whole album, setting a certain coordinate system. At that moment, when we found our new approach, our technology, songs began to be born quite easily and quickly.
I am not a nice little girl.
When I write songs, the process is not remembered for me, these are some very strong emotions. It so often happens that I write in some kind of trance and only then I understand that I wrote something. This comes from some events in my life. Quarrel, meeting with a new person. The photo seen or the movie. Or I just looked out the window, thought about something. I don't even really understand how much time has passed.
I met Anton Belyaev in the studio of Igor Matvienko, where he recorded his album. Then I was a special guest at his concert at Crocus City Hall. I did not offer him to record a duet. I don’t even know how it happened. Most likely, it was the idea of Oleg Nesterov, and everything somehow spun. The song "Sea" was not written for the duet, but Anton Belyaev's voice fit perfectly there. I respect what Anton does. I have the music of Therr Maitz in the player, and I went to a couple of his concerts as a spectator and dancing rampant.
Caves, I don't record anymore. Sometimes I play something for myself or develop vocals on other people's songs-for example, I sing “Wuthering Heights” Kate Bush. But this is the maximum. Recently, I don't like someone else's music. Does not climb into me. Maybe this is due to the fact that we recorded the album. My head was completely busy with my own music.
