Documentalist Viktor Semenyuk died

On Thursday, October 23, in the Pokrovskoye Hospital of St. Petersburg, at the 74th year of his life, the director-documentary Viktor Semenyuk, a classic of the Leningrad Documentary Cinema School, died.

Viktor Fedorovich Semenyuk created more than 50 paintings at the Leningrad Studio, including “Hailing Place”, “Yaroslavl Portrait”, “Kazakhnaya Road”, “Farmers”, “Smoke of the Fatherland”.

The director raised many students and followers, founded the department of directing St. Petersburg University of Cinema and Television, since 1989 he worked as a program director of the International Film Festival “Message to a Man”, and in 2001 established the student work festival “Peterkit”.
