A dhow (traditional Arab boat - IF) with an Indian team on board left the UAE for Bahrain with a cargo of fish. On Saturday night, the Indians were attacked by an unknown ship with an armed crew on board. Four robbers, threatening with automatic weapons, took away fish and mobile phones from the Indians. None of the Indian sailors were injured, they were all rescued and taken to Bahrain.

According to the victims, the pirates were Iranians, but they do not dare to claim it 100%.

This attack was the first recorded case of pirate activity in the Persian Gulf in many years, the newspaper writes.
