The former military leader of the Bosnian Serbs Ratko Mladich, accused of genocide and other crimes, was hospitalized in the Hague. It is reported by Radio Liberty. The press office of the Hague Tribunal refused to provide details about the state of health of Mladic. "Some media reported that Mladic has inflammation of the lungs. I can confirm that he is currently undergoing treatment, but I have no right to disclose what exactly he is treated from," said the representative of the press office Nerma Dzlavachich.
Jelachich also denied the reports that appeared in the press that last week Mladich fainted. The defendant, according to her, receives, "like all other prisoners, the best medical care and treatment in Holland."
The 69-year-old Mladic, who was hiding from justice for 16 years and was issued to the Hague only this year, repeatedly complained about health problems. His relatives claimed that he had previously suffered two strokes. Doctors, however, considered that Mladic was able to take part in the trial.
Former President of Yugoslavia Slobodan Miloshevich died in the Hague in the Hague in 2006, without waiting for the verdict of the court.
