The mayor of Kremenchug was killed

The mayor of the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region of Ukraine, Oleg Babaev, shot next to his own house, reports 112.ua website with reference to the deputy commander of the Azov battalion Igor Mosiychuk. The mayor was shot in his car, three bullets fell into Babaev’s body.

The fact of the death of the mayor was confirmed by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Sergey Kaplin. “Nine blocked the path of him. From there three shots from smoothbore weapons were pointed at point blank. After which he died,” Interfax quoted the words.

The regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine "Novosti" reported that criminal proceedings under the article "Intentional Murder" were opened on the fact of the crime. Police is not yet called motives.

Also on Saturday it became known that the house of the mayor of Lviv Andrei Sadovoy was fired from the anti -tank grenade launcher "Mukha".

At the same time, the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko wrote on his Facebook that the investigation has not yet connected the murder of Babaev with the shelling of Sadovoy’s house.
