As Anna Bogomazova, deputy general physician of the Family Doctor clinic, told Novaya Gazeta, out of the six ambulance centers with which the clinic works, only one was able to respond to calls in the center of Moscow. The rest were arrested by the traffic police. Patients who needed hospitalization are taken out in private cars. The brigade of one of the ambulances spent more than six hours at the police station.

At the same time, there was no information about where you can get a pass. The traffic police advised doctors to apply to Moslicensiya, from there they were sent to the health department. From there we went further...

The siege was organized by federal services: the FSO, the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The capital adopted a bearing corresponding to the significance of the moment. Back in April, Deputy Head of the Department of Housing and Communal Services Vladimir Ushkov issued an order as soon as possible "to catch stray animals located in places where mass festivities are held, without returning to their former habitat." He asks to pay special attention to construction sites - builders love to feed stray dogs.

A special schedule for the work of flayer teams has been developed. For some reason, officials thought that in the area of ​​​​Alexandrovsky Garden and Arbat, it is best to catch dogs from eight to ten in the evening - just at the time when a large audience gathers in these places.

The General Directorate for the Provision of Urban Infrastructure Objects sends an order to all DEZs of the Central District with the following content: “We ask you to urgently send applications to the State Duma OOGI of the CAO for catching large flocks of dogs living in the places where festive events are held on May 1 and 9, marked “folk festivals” , to accommodate these animals in shelters. When catching animals, your representative must be present. Signature: Director S.A. Shisterov.

Placing several thousand dogs in shelters is either utopia or hypocrisy. There are not so many seats for dogs in Moscow. The last shelters are methodically closed, and those that remain are few.

One of the shelters that accept stray dogs - "Zoorasvet" on Dawn Alley - is stuffed to the eyeballs with living creatures.

“Now we already have about three hundred animals,” says Svetlana Gorshkova, director of Zoorrassvet. - The shelter is full. Two animals are supposed to be in a cage, and we have five sitting. And of course, they will still deliver.

What will happen to these dogs is unclear. Ushkov in his order clearly wrote: "Without returning to the former habitat."

PS Directors of shelters hope that the people who take care of stray dogs will slowly sort them out after the holidays. They will return from the dachas and begin to look for their Polkans in shelters.
