Belarusian opposition are enemies of the people. According to RIA Novosti, this was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, speaking in Minsk at a congress of trade unions. "Wherever you can make it worse for the state - they are there. Yesterday Europe, America pressed us - they are there. Today Russia is crushing - they are there," Lukashenko said.
In his opinion, the proposals of opposition to the economic development of the country and increase the welfare of people are based on populism. "When they promise to reduce taxes and raise a salary, pensions, scholarships ten times, you don’t have to be an economist to understand the unfoundation of such statements. This is complete untruth. Millions of new jobs - it sounds beautiful. Only authors of such ideas are silent about the fact that they plan to reduce existing jobs. Who needs such dust in your eyes? - said Lukashenko.
At the same time, Lukashenko considered the accusations of populism to be unreasonable. "" People do not think that someone buys them. I don’t need a presidency if people think that they flirt with them, ”said Lukashenko.
The presidential elections in Belarus are scheduled for December 19, 2010. This date was unanimously approved by parliament of the country on September 14. The official registration of presidential candidates has not yet begun.
