In Moscow, the Constituent Congress of the Party "autocratic Russia" was held. According to Interfax, in the near future the party founders will submit documents to the Ministry of Justice.
Dmitry Merkulov, a former activist of the "People’s Union" Sergey Baburin, will be headed by the new party. One of the leading posts will be occupied by the ex-head of the Irkutsk branch of the extremist organization "Russian National Union" Alexander Turik.
The authorized purpose of the new association is the establishment of monarchy in Russia. “The main formula of national life - Orthodoxy, autocracy, nationality - was still the only true formula for life, which determines a sign of Russian and Russian identity,” the party’s charter indicates.
As one of the members of the leadership of the new party Valentin Lebedev told the agency, the organization intends to introduce "to all spheres of the life of the high spiritual principles that the Orthodox Church stores, and primarily in state construction, that is, in political life."
The party founders have already tried to register it in the Ministry of Justice in 2011, but received a refusal, since, according to the ministry, the symbolism of the party coincides with the state symbols of the Russian Federation.
