President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko agrees to the supply of Russian gas on the basis of Moscow. He stated this on Thursday at a meeting with the Belarusian government.

“I agree to conclude an agreement on Putin,” he said.

“Belarus, in turn, will make an inventory of Belarusian -Russian relations,” Lukashenko emphasized.

"We will collect the necessary $ 200 million, take them from children, old people," he said.

Meanwhile, the company "Trans Nafta" believes that the contract with Belarus on gas supplies may be signed on Thursday or Wednesday. This was stated by RIA Novosti by the head of the gas department of the gas company Denis Vinogradov.

"The chances of signing the contract are quite large, perhaps it will be signed today or tomorrow," he said.

Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko in the afternoon on Thursday flew to Minsk. This was reported to reporters by the press secretary of the Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Naumov. As it became known from sources in power structures, during the visit of Khristenko to Minsk, gas problems between Russia and Belarus will be discussed. According to the official version, which was voiced by Naumov, "the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister is dedicated to participation in a high-level group, where the issue of creating a single economic space will be discussed." Naumov emphasized that this is a "planned trip, the date of which was agreed back in January."

Earlier on Thursday, Lukashenko called to Minsk to consult the Belarusian ambassador to the Russian Federation Vladimir Grigoryev. “Now our relations with Russia will be poisoned by gas for a long time,” said Alexander Lukashenko following the discussion by the Cabinet of Ministers of Gazprom, the gas supply to the territory of the republic, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the press service of the President of Belarus.

Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia does not plan to call its ambassador from Belarus to consult in Moscow. Commenting on the decision of Belarus to withdraw the head of its diplomatic mission, the Department of Information and Press of the Foreign Ministry said: "This is the right of the authorities of Belarus - call an ambassador to the capital for consultations."

Gazprom was forced to stop the supply of gas to Belarus and its transit through the territory of the republic due to unauthorized gas selection of Baltransgaz.

On Wednesday, at 10.00 Moscow time, restrictions on the supply of Russian gas were introduced to consumers of Belarus. According to Gazprom, the restrictions were introduced on the basis of the appeal of an independent supplier - Trans Nafta, due to the fact that the volumes of gas were fully selected by Baltransgaz. The new contracts were not signed by the Belarusian side.
