The owner of the aluminum company Oleg Deripaska also has a second largest share in Norilikla, and they and Vladimir Potanin, can be said, can be said, existential conflict. Both live with a distorted picture of the world in which any negative publications in the media appear only by order of the opponent.

Listen. Who says this? In the cities of the presence of Rusala - a permanent environmental disaster. Here are just a few facts from scientific research in recent years (open sources, specialized institutions and institutions of the Ministry of Health, Rospotrebnadzor, RAS).

Krasnoyarsk is subjected to multi -medium carcinogenic risk with an excess of 8.84 times, Achinsk - 9.4 times. And in Norilsk, the excess is 7.97. At the same time, only 52% of carcinogens emitted by industry are measured in the air - 48% in drinking water, 20% in the soil and food, and 10% of carcinogens are not controlled here anywhere (and these are very modest grades, other experts say).

Norilsk, but Krasnoyarsk with his aluminum factory, the largest in the world, Kraz (8.8) and Achinsk with its clay plant (10), demonstrate the maximum values ​​of the carcinogenic lifetime risk.

Scientists in Moscow and Krasnoyarsk write: this is unacceptable, emergency measures are required. But the Rusal now wants to improve Norilsk

Yes, according to collective research (12 surnames) Ibrae RAS (Moscow), State Research Institute of ECH and State named after A.N. In Achinsk - only 154 additional deaths. And in Krasnoyarsk, up to 112 premature deaths per year per 100 thousand people are associated with air pollution.

But count for the real number of inhabitants of these cities.

And we get: in Norilsk - about 400 additional deaths annually, in Achinsk - 160, and in Krasnoyarsk - 1232.

Say, in Krasnoyarsk, the air spoils a lot of other things? The share of Rusal-Krasnoyarsk JSC in air pollution in stationary sources is growing: 45.4% in 2016 and 47.5% in 2018 (data from Rusala itself).

KrAZ is the main source of the disaster in which the millionaire city lives.

The public hearings of materials about the impact on Krasnoyarsk KrAZ last fall became a bold spit that drowned the city community. Krasnoyarsk residents were informed: yes, KrAZ violates the legislation of the Russian Federation, in particular, in the residential area, the maximum permissible concentrations of gaseous fluoride and such carcinogen as benz (a) is Pyro are exceeded. The achievement of technological and hygienic standards “Rusal” is only planned. And - only since 2025.

No radical changes - despite the rallies of recent years and the protests of the townspeople - did not promise Krasnoyarsk, ignoring public opinion.

For all the latest government officers, it is Krasnoyarsk (Norilsk throws much more muck, but blown with winds) traditionally enters all the black tops of cities with the most dirty air. Krasnoyarsk also periodically occupies a leading position in the Airvisual Internet monitoring, which fixes air pollution in large cities of the planet in real time.

And then the goats that eat cabbage here are about how important it is to save cabbage there. And for this it is necessary to change the goat management there.

If it’s a shame for the goats, let there be wolves and sheep. Or foxes and geese. But is there any cabbage or geese the difference, who will devour them?

Who are these sermons on the animal farm for? Why not transfer your head office to Krasnoyarsk or Bratsk? He promised this more than once over the past years. Why not change your “attitude to ecology and security”?

It is clear that a wonderful statement is not connected with concern for Norilsk-Tyimyr ecology. Exclusively - with dividend policy.

On this issue, in fact, the battles between aluminum pots and copper-nickel pots always boiled. Potanin, although the richest Russian, is not the largest ghoul. He always paid decent taxes, the region and lives on them, and with oil money from Vankor. KrAZ is melting more than a million tons, it is $ 2 billion annually. And to the attention of all broadcasting about some of his “city-forming” and “forming budgets” of importance for Krasnoyarsk and the entire region: it replenishes the regional budget by 0.36 % (in 2018-$ 12.7 million).

Potanin also always consistently advocated for increasing captive, for reconstruction - due to a decrease in dividends. “Rusal”, which always hapal more than he could swallow, without refusing anything, was always in huge debts and always needed the dividends of “Norilsk Nickel” - to extinguish these debts.

How does Rusal plan to take care of better than Potanin about ecology, if you do not reduce the payment of dividends, not to convert the factories and plants? Potanin challenged the fine, but there is no doubt that ultimately the fine would be paid - of course, due to the income of shareholders. This, apparently, "rusal" and infuriates. And he talks about how Norilsk Nickel now looks from the side of the “investment and environmental communities”.

There really is something to share with Potanin, here Aluminchiki has a rich experience. The most environmentally dirty aluminum in the world is a misunderstanding (only due to the fact that its production uses hydropower, and not coal), Rusal and En+ PR as the cleanest and most green. In fact, this can be regarded as a deception of markets. And it lasts a long time, years. And it is well known: if you lie for a long time, then you yourself begin to believe in what you are carrying.

Only this effect can explain the fact that Rusal decided to talk about ecology.

A prominent defender of the nature of Deripaska in a telegram channel seriously writes: “Floods, fires that this year in Siberia began earlier than usual, incomprehensible winter that is a year in a row, drought, which, most likely, in the European part of Russia will lead to serious crop failure-all these unpleasant surprises are the result of a barbaric attitude to the plant, which many Asian countries show, China, China, China, China, China, China, China, China, China, China, Korea, Indonesia. India and South Africa stretched behind them. ” Etc., etc.

In the end, he still speaks, also highlighting his conclusion with bold font: “We no longer have time to preserve our ecosystem.”

He really does not have time for this.

However, Deripaska has nothing to do with it, it is removed from Rusal, control over the Siberian aluminum industry and hydropower transferred to the US Treasury, and the changes in the advice of the directors of Rusala and En+were agreed with it.

The Siberians expected that the removal of the previous owner and the change of management team would affect the policy of these companies in the regions of their presence, it will become less cannibalnious, alas. And why on earth now do these people read Potanin’s preaching, not mentioning money anymore, but an ecology? Return to the previous paradigm, there you are more convincing.

One -eyed uncle is good only when there is no uncle at all. And to choose from two similar - what's the point?
