theater "Workshop of Peter Fomenko" - premiere, "Mad from Chaillot" (1944) by Jean Giraudoux. The gray-haired, exquisitely thin, blissfully foolish Countess Aurelie, who lives in the basement of an old Parisian house, wears purple bows, withered iris in the neckline, a feather boa (the boa was lost five years ago, but this does not bother Aurélie) and fake pearls (which on her prickly collarbones has long since become real). Street musicians, garcons of small cafes, sentimentally broken maids, scavengers and pale young drowned men honor the insane countess, who is able to save their city from turning into an impudent, lacquered simulacrum of "old Paris", a purely advertising simulacrum ...
In the ballet, Maya Plisetskaya danced the part of the Mad from Chaillot. In the movie, Juliet Mazina was Mad. In the theater "Workshop of Pyotr Fomenko" this role, impracticable without spiritual adequacy, is played by Galina Tyunina.
On the same days, the wonderful actress was nominated for the Golden Mask for the roles of Anna Pavlovna Sherer, Countess Rostova and Princess Marya in P.N. Fomenko "War and Peace. Beginning of the novel.
