A Lesson in Hating Punishers
On September 1, Belarusian students were taught a lesson in hatred for punishers. In Minsk, riot police began to violently disperse and detain protesting students after they broke through the cordon on Independence Avenue. According to the Viasna human rights center, a total of 53 people were detained at student and other protests, including 9 journalists.
