Vladimir Putin won the presidential election with 76.69 percent of the vote. This was announced by the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova, reports RBC. According to the CEC, 56.4 million people voted for the current president.

The turnout for the vote amounted to 67.54 percent of all registered voters.

The second place, according to the official election results, was received by the Communist Party candidate Pavel Grudinin, gaining 11.77 percent of the vote - 8.65 million people voted for him. In third place, the head of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky - he received 5.65 percent of votes (4.15 million people). The TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak was supported by 1.68 percent of voters (1.2 million people), the leader of Yabloko Grigory Yavlinsky - 1.05 percent of the voted (769.6 thousand people). Boris Titov’s business concessman gained 0.76 percent of the vote (556, 8 thousand people), the leader of the “Communists of Russia” Maxim Suraikin - 0.68 percent (499 thousand people), a representative of the “Russian national union” Sergey Baburin - 0.65 percent (479 thousand people).
