Gordeev rejected the petition, but the discharge, claimed by the defense, did not accept.
Amnesty International called on the Russian authorities to immediately free Ponomarev.

Meanwhile, the next day, the leader of the SPF filed a notification to the Moscow City Hall about the holding of a new protest event - "March for the world against violence." Among its other organizers are the system liberal Leonid Gozman and former State Duma deputy Gennady Gudkov. The march is scheduled for December 16.
"This action should be a civil society’s response to the creeping power of power by security forces, to the use of torture and provocations, to tightening political repressions aimed primarily against politically active youth," the announcement of the campaign on the SPF website says.
Ponomarev’s movement connected the arrest of his leader in particular with the preparation of this march.
