The scenario is the same as in the case of Leonenko: he is arrested in the fall of 2010, the investigation is conducted as soon as possible, he admits guilt, gives confessions, immediately gives a written undertaking not to leave, a trial with a special regime of consideration takes place in one day. To what specific terms she was sentenced conditionally is unknown. The "nova", who contacted her through her relatives, she refused to say anything about the progress of her case. Now Irina Chernikova is at home.

We contacted those who communicated with Chernikova before her arrest, and this is what they told Novaya Gazeta about the details of her detention: the child with whom she lived, without any papers, they forced her to leave with them for the Russian Federation. Then everything was arranged as if she illegally tried to cross the Russian border and was detained ( everyone also wrote about this, the Rosbalt agency. - V.Ch. ). It is not clear how she could illegally cross the border with her passport. I think that now she will not say anything to the public ... ".

Alla Karaseva . The operation to detain a 65-year-old woman in November 2007 was carried out by riot police and criminal investigation officers. And they kept her not in the women's pre-trial detention center, but in the special isolation ward IZ-99/1. There they were interrogated. The process against Karaseva, who admitted guilt, was conducted in a special order - without a judicial investigation, in one day. The Basmanny Court sentenced Karaseva to five years and six months on probation. For what she suffered, it becomes clear already on the first page of the verdict, which says that Karaseva joined an "organized criminal group" headed by Khodorkovsky and Lebedev. It is not difficult to guess that this verdict formed the basis for the verdict of Judge Danilkin. Karaseva's confessions, which she gave to the prosecutor's office, also went there.

Currently, Alla Karaseva is seriously ill, is a disabled person of the second group, suffered a microstroke, is on permanent treatment - in any case, she sent such a fax certificate to the Khamovnichesky court, explaining the impossibility of coming on the agenda.

Vladimir Pereverzin. On August 31, speaking as a witness in the Khamovnichesky court, he stated that during the investigation the investigators suggested that he slander Khodorkovsky and Lebedev in exchange for a suspended sentence. “They suggested saying that Khodorkovsky gave me all sorts of illegal instructions,” said Pereverzin.

Antonio Valdes Garcia. As soon as he was made a defendant, he left for Spain. The Russian prosecutor's office promised: if he voluntarily appears in the Russian Federation and answers the questions of the investigation, his status as an accused will change to the status of a witness. He arrived, but right at the airport he was detained by officers of the special services. He agreed under threats, according to him, to write a statement on the application of state protection measures to him. He was taken to the OMON base near Moscow, where he was tortured. Novaya Gazeta has at its disposal Garcia's April 2009 statement to Prosecutor General Chaika:

“From June 8 to August 5, 2005, I was subjected to psychological pressure and direct threats from Kozlovsky, Yurchenko and investigator Strygin. These persons demanded that I slander the leaders of Yukos, in particular, Lebedev, Khodorkovsky, Nevzlin and Brudno. <...> Kozlovsky said that if I was stubborn, then no one would be able to help me. I said that at the first opportunity I would tell about everything through a lawyer to journalists. Here Kozlovsky literally went berserk and shouted that I was an ungrateful brute who did not understand a good attitude, I received a strong blow in the face, there was a feeling of a bright flash before my eyes, after which my perception of reality became blurry, I lost consciousness, what was happening to me next, not I know. Due to severe brain injuries, it is very difficult for me to restore the circumstances of the beating and torture. I regained consciousness only in the ward of the Istra city hospital, guarded by armed people from the “state protection”. As I learned from my medical history, the following bodily injuries were inflicted on me: a closed craniocerebral injury, a concussion of the brain, a closed fracture of the right femur with a detachment of the greater trochanter, an open bilateral fracture of the lower jaw: the central and articular process on the left with displacement, a fracture alveolar process of the upper jaw on the left, closed comminuted intra-articular fracture of the base of the nail phalanx of the 1st finger of the left foot, multiple bruised wounds of the face, right knee joint, left foot. I also had several teeth knocked out and others were broken. In September 2005, Kozlovsky came to see me in the ward of the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow, where I was transferred. He suggested that I draw up a statement that I received injuries by accident, when I fell out of the window. He said that in exchange for a signature, he would guarantee my safety. I signed. I had no other choice. <…>”

The victim asked Chaika to open a criminal case against investigators Strygin, Alyshev, Khatypov and operatives Kozlovsky and Yurchenko for torturing and forcing them to testify against themselves and Yukos executives. The prosecutor's office refused to initiate a criminal case against the Spaniard. Reason: "He fell out of a window while intoxicated." In January 2007, Garcia managed to escape from the police officers guarding him in a rented apartment and leave for Spain. The police officers later informed the authorities that he had "locked" them with a key and disappeared. Now Garcia is undergoing treatment at home. Spain refused to extradite him to the Russian Federation.

- I will learn about the death of Leonenko from you. If so, this is just one of the strange deaths and injuries that accompany the Yukos affair. I, too, was repeatedly told by the prison "mail" that there was an order "not to let you out alive." Did not have time. But even when I was free, they didn't leave me alone. Of course, there is no direct evidence, but rather strange things happened to me during these two years at large. Very similar to known cases of poisoning. By the grace of God, I am alive. I believe that someone has a liquidation warrant. And it's not a joke.
