The search of the FBK director has been completed

Roman Rubanov, director of the Anti-Corruption Foundation and deputy head of Alexei Navalny's campaign headquarters, writes on twitter that the search at his house, which began today at seven in the morning, has ended. All equipment belonging to him was confiscated.

"The search is over. They took away laptops, phones and flash drives. We were looking for Kulachenkov and the painting,” wrote Rubanov

The search, according to Rubanov, was carried out by the same investigators who, on January 16, 2015, conducted a search in the office of the FBK . Investigators said the search was being carried out to locate fund employee Nikita Kulachenkov, who is wanted in connection with the theft of a painting by street artist Sergei Sotov called "Bad Good Man" from a fence in Vladimir.

Rubanov suggests that in reality the searches are related to the work of the FBK and the upcoming preparations for the Anti-Crisis March "Spring", which is scheduled for March 1.

Also today, a search was conducted in the apartment of Rubanov's parents, where his one and a half year old nephew lives. The search has also ended. According to lawyer Tatyana Solomina, there were no exceptions.

On January 19, 2015, Roman Rubanov was unscheduledly summoned for interrogation, also allegedly in the case of the theft of the painting, however, as he said after the interrogation in the Investigative Committee, questions about the painting and Kulachenkov's whereabouts were an occasion to talk about FBK.

“They asked what he does at FBK, what Navalny does in the office, and what I know about embezzlement in the office,” wrote the head of the fund.
