As explained in the Ministry of Justice, NPOs should be checked for "compliance with the authorized goals and legislation of the Russian Federation."
In case of violations, if the grounds for recognizing NPOs by a foreign agent are found, the Ministry of Justice promised to apply the measures of legal regulation established by law.
