A meeting with readers of the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky, who took place in the St. Petersburg store "Bukvoed", overshadowed all the latest events in the entrusted Minister of the industry. The 250th anniversary of the Hermitage, the presentation of the Kandinsky Prize and the opening of the Rodchenko exhibition in Pushkinsky, even the huge St. Petersburg Cultural Forum-everything has faded into the background. There were many vivid moments in Medinsky’s speech-the Minister of Culture announced all the computer games as a devil, advised to exclude from the school program “Anna Karenina” (which is not in the school program), told how he disconnects the Internet in the iPhone (and they, according to the decryption on the Fontanka.ru website, “arranged a demarche and connected through Wai-Fai”). But all these bold thoughts and proposals also went unnoticed-against the background of the statement that the Ministry of Culture will no longer finance films made on the principle of “Rashka-Sninka”.
The shocking ministerial rhyme provoked a serious public discussion. The discussion is mainly conducted in the style of the dialogue between Bivis and Batthead-“Hey, Kormlan, he said“ shit ”, hehe-heh!” The minister is accused of disbelief, now and then a joke pops up about the laundry - public opinion converges that such vocabulary of the minister does not paint and almost testifies to his incomplete official compliance. At this place, I would like to act in defense of Vladimir Medinsky: the rhymed term used by the Minister speaks not of ignorance, but just about a rather subtle readiness. As Google prompts, the ill -fated neologism was first formulated by the famous publicist of the conservative sense of Konstantin Krylov: like Medinsky, Krylov thus ridiculed imaginary opponents. And given that two years ago, the main in the ideology of the Kremlin Vyacheslav Volodin publicly stated at a meeting with Putin's proximities, that “it is unacceptable to call Russia Rashka, this is not in any country,” in the words of the minister you can even find signs of a well -known front.
And now seriously. Actually, under the films, “shot on the principle of“ Rashka-Svinshka ”, Medinsky had in mind specifically“ Leviathan ”-the last work of Andrei Zvyagintsev, the most successful Russian cinema on a global scale. Leviathan was awarded a prize for the best script in Cannes and the main prizes of half-dozen less significant festivals, it appears in the short list of the Golden Globe Award and in four nominations of the European Film Academy, and also has good chances for Oscar, Sony purchased it for a wide American rental-at the same time, according to the general opinion of those who visited, the people who visited it. This is the most stringent and unpleasant film evidence of the current situation in the country. I suspect that in the logic of the minister, the success of the film is associated precisely with the fact that Russia is represented in it, so to speak, a poor thing; “Leviathan”, as it were, fulfills the ideological order of the world backstage, and the backstage shows it for this prizes. And of course, if you cut off the director from the Ministry of Culture financing, the problem will be solved by itself: the audience will watch patriotic films about great Russian history, and Zvyagintsev will go, in every sense, around the world.
But here's the thing. This is a completely consistent point of view - that if you finance the shooting of the right films, put the right monuments, the only true way to compose the school curriculum and ban computer games as a manner of the devil, then people will immediately become kind and good, will love their homeland and stop swearing with obscenities. But intuition suggests that the Zvyagintsev will still shoot - and from the outside everything will look like Russia again offended the only large film director. The way the inhabitants of Russia see their country-and how they look at it from the outside-will hardly depend on which films the Ministry of Culture financed, and the more there will be in the rental of military-patriotic epis shot for dick and the anniversary, the stronger the “Star Wars” will break. If children turn off the Internet in an iPhone, they will still find wai-fi. In 2014, the world was arranged in this way, and the fact that the Ministry of Culture is not understood is perhaps the only thing that should be condemned by the Ministry of Culture.
