Around enemies. "Have you driven a lot of Tajiks?" - Such a question was asked to each other Muscovites on May 9 after the Victory Parade. "Provocation!" - People showed mileage companies on May 6 during the Millions Mill. The actions of the authorities raised a wave of strange new xenophobia-with a political shade, since migrants have become a kind of penal battalion for pro-government shares. That is, they are now "strangers" twice
In Russia, there is practically no social ethics that could restrain radical moods, and would establish a reasonable framework for conflict situations. Even people with decent education and liberal views can easily say “chock”, “hachik”, “black”, thereby designating their right to despise people only for another nationality (and, as a rule, religion).
The case is dark
Of course, a mixture of cultures is a difficult problem. Even civilized Europe sometimes comes to a dead end.
“There is no open aggression in Germany to foreigners,” says Sergey Safe, a journalist from Berlin. “But she still exists implicitly.” There is a very famous journalist Gunther Valraf, he recently made the film “Black Po -White”, where he was made up under a dark -skinned one, he traveled around the country with real dark -skinned ones and shot everything on a hidden camera. In Bavaria, Gunter came to officials to get permission to the gun, and they say: show your passport. And citizens of Germany do not have a passport, this is only for foreigners, the Germans have an identity card. He says: I am a German citizen, and they can: "Yes, you cannot be a German, get out of here, we will call the police now." Or he goes to rent an apartment, and the hostess says: I have already handed it over. After 20 minutes, there is a film crew with a hidden camera, but they are only white, and she says: “Oh, it’s good that you came, otherwise one dark -skinned came here, but I, of course, sent it.” But, of course, all this is happening non -public and almost no violence - over the past few years there have been only two cases when the police beat foreigners, and it was a terrible scandal in the press, all the guilty were dismissed, ”the journalist says.
The debt of the layman
European multiculturalism really did not justify itself. It was an attempt to build a society where there are Christian churches, mosques, and a civil court, and Sharia court, where women walk along the streets and almost in underwear and in hijabs.
Of course, in different countries their ideas about tolerance, but laws and acts are one, and inhabitants have to solve something for themselves every day. “I see that people come from countries where they cannot provide themselves. I see how they work hard, trying to give a good education to children, ”says Christina Wulf, an expert on whiskey and rum. “I have not very large incomes, but I am ready to pay these taxes, I think this is our duty.”
And in fact, Merkel’s statements, Sarkozy, Cameron that multiculturalism had crashed is a recognition of the defeat of the European model, when citizens, as it were, were forced to adapt to visitors, and not vice versa. The Americans (USA) in this sense are more reasonable, since with all the tolerance they instill their traditional values to migrants.
False truth
In Russia - a catastrophic situation. “Their situation is the most humiliated. Employers receive super -profits from the work of completely disenfranchised migrants who can pay and call the police to select the money, ”says Svetlana Gannushkina, the head of the civil assistance committee. - There are such cases when it is clear that the employer is in the share. And so that this system does not indign the population, high ranks through the media support the feeling that these migrants occupy our jobs, they have a different culture, etc. They, however, occupy, but it’s not even slave labor, they live in terrible conditions, sleep in some boxes, often right at construction sites. So they can hardly be called competitors. And of course, these are people of a different culture, but no one has been introducing them to our culture, and now, from May 7, from the day of inaigration, a new order has been released so that again not to take children without registration to schools. Each at least once was beaten on the street by some drunkards, and there are a bunch of criminal cases to which they are attracted for crimes that they did not commit. There are a lot of such stories. There was a rare case when we won, saved a worker from Voronezh Razakov. A nice guy, bought a shack for himself near Voronezh, and now he was taken on the street, brought, and they said - admit that you killed. Then it was possible to prove that there were torture, he received compensation for 800 thousand, received a salary, but at the same time a criminal case was suspended on his offenders. ”
The Soviet government created many myths that were beneficial to ideology. On the one hand, they preached internationalism, a certain abstraction was created-“Soviet man”, on the other hand, in all documents there was a column “nationality”, and you had to identify yourself with some national group. “The Bolsheviks replaced citizenship with nationality. Many only in Soviet times learned that they have this nationality, ”says Alexander Verkhovsky, director of the SOVA information and analytical center. - In Belarus, for example, people often called themselves in the area where they live. They did not have ethnic identity in the modern sense. In Dagestan, scientists simply invented a certain number of nationalities. People before that called themselves in the area, in the valley. And now there even a parliament is chosen on the National Academy of Sciences, as in Lebanon. We will live with this for a long time. From time to time, at the state level, attempts are made from this, they even wanted to change the state concept of national policy from 1996, which is again built on the fact that our people are not from citizens, but from nations, which is absolutely abnormal. But if you can rewrite the concept, then accept - no. First of all, the elites of the national republics object - this undermines their legitimacy. "
The victorious people
Xenophobia has been state policy for many decades. After October 1917, after the Civil War in Russia, it became clear that the “world revolution” had failed, the country was in the “imperialist environment”. And it was important for the Bolsheviks to prove to citizens that the “enemies” around, that Russia was successfully fighting with them, that we are the winning people. In this vein, the whole story was rewritten. There are still disputes about the Battle of Kulikovo, in which “the Russians defeated the Tatars”, although the Russians were not the ones who they are now, and the Tatars were not the Tatars in the modern sense. But not the first generation is taught to such a vision, and it seems that any war is primarily an ethnic conflict, and the victory is the triumph of Russians over other nations.
Today, all this responds to the monstrous curvature of public consciousness. Extremists triumph, defeating a couple of buses with “guest workers”. The liberals triumph, noting the “in the camp of the enemy” of poor migrants. The entities are multiplying, there are more and more enemies - and this war will never end, and the parade of endless victories will also be eternal until it becomes obvious that we all live in that old country where everything is built on fear and lies and where there are anything: enemies, friends, nation - but not free citizens.
Household xenophobia
Anna Kan, publisher: “I have a Korean husband, and at the beginning of the zero they constantly stopped him, they also wrote to me on the wall in the house:“ Live with a narrow-eyed = narrow-eyed. ” Plus swastika. "
