In Magadan, at the city market at 8.30 am local time, Dmitry Taralov, head of the RosZhKH project of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, was beaten up. As Taralov told FlashNord , two people beat him with the words "Get out of Magadan, go to your Moscow." Taralov was temporarily hospitalized, later he filed a complaint with the police about the beating.
After the arrival of the police, FBK activists Anna Wellicock, Dmitry Krainev and Georgy Alburov discovered the car in which the attackers were allegedly hiding - according to them , they were being followed in this car.
The police did nothing to the people in the car. The activists blocked the car on their own, and later the police detained and brought Wellicock, Alburov and Krainev to the police station to “give explanations”. There was also allegedly a statement about causing damage to the car, but at the police station, as Krainev said on Twitter , it turned out that the statement did not exist.
Meanwhile, the traffic police evacuated the car directly with the people whom the activists suspect of the attack. Magadan journalist Alexander Krylov, who tried to follow the tow truck, was stopped by traffic police officers: “The police stopped me. There was information that he was drunk,” the journalist wrote on Twitter .
FBK activists are in Magadan because of the beginning of the election campaign for the Magadan Regional Duma, in which Georgy Alburov is running on the list of the RPR-PARNAS party.
