ATR operator released from pre-trial detention center

The cameraman of the Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR Eskender Nebiev, who was arrested on April 22, 2015 in connection with the clashes in Simferopol on February 26, 2014, was released from the Simferopol pre-trial detention center today.

This was reported by Deputy General Director of the ATR TV channel Lilya Budzhurova on her Facebook page .

“The cameraman Eskender Nebiev, who has been in a pre-trial detention center in recent months, was released. Thanks to everyone who supported his family during these difficult days. Special thanks to Mufti Emirali Effendi, without his help and guarantee this would not have happened,” wrote Budzhurova.
