The World Court of the city of Shchekino (regional center in the Tula region) today decided to fine anti-fascist and Left Front activist Dmitry Karasev 2,000 rubles under Part 1 of Art. 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (propaganda or public demonstration of Nazi or extremist paraphernalia or symbols) and another two thousand under Art. 20.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (production and distribution of extremist materials). Administrative proceedings were initiated on the fact of an inspection conducted by the city prosecutor jointly with the regional Center "E", which found a swastika and a record of the Kolovrat group on the Vkontakte social network. As Karasev told OVD-Info, these were reposts of publications and messages of nationalists. The activist also noted that such a fine is not imposed in the form of punishment for the nationalists themselves.
Previously, Karasev, who regularly takes part in opposition events, was summoned for a conversation at the E Center, where it was announced that he should not hold any actions in Tula.
