The ups and downs of the twentieth century forced hundreds of thousands of our compatriots to leave their homeland. But this book is not just about emigration - it is about Russian scientists and engineers who realized their talents abroad. Among her heroes are both those who made their discoveries before the 1917 revolution, and those who are customary to attribute to the first wave of emigration, and those who began to constantly work in foreign scientific organizations during the war, and our contemporaries. Their names, even the largest scientists, were often devoted to unfair and violent oblivion.
This book is one of the steps on the path of rescue from the non -existence of the names of those who were born here, took their first steps, and then worked for the good of humanity, even outside of Russia.
The book was worked: Alexander Allahverdyan, Dmitry Bayuk, Andrei Vaganov, Gennady Gorelik, Vladimir Gubailovsky, Elena Zaitseva (Baum), Olga Orlova, Irina Ponomareva, Anton Pervushin, Timofey Skorenko and Sergey Yastrebov.
The presentation of the book will be held at the exhibition- the Non / Fiction Fair in the Central House of the Artist ( Crimean Val , 10) December 2, 19:00- 20:00 , the seven- bunny zone No. 1 (2nd floor ) .

The new book of Svetlana Zerenes, which continues the cognitive series of the BHV-Petersburg publishing house, is called "Where the professions came from, or to work in the depths of centuries." This time there will be stories about how different people's classes have become the same as today. And also about the fact that, having become an adult, you can not only “go to work”, but also love your job and even go into history with him.
It is impossible to list everything that people are doing. One professions no longer count how many centuries, others have only recently been born, and others seem to live their last days. But even quite boring at first glance professions can have an exciting story.
Books of Svetlana Zerenes are a living language, little -known intriguing facts, humor and the ability to easily explain complex. They will be interesting not only to schoolchildren, but also to adults.
