Belarusian oppositionist Ales Kalita was detained. Belarusian Internet resources note that he served in the same military unit near Lepel in the Vitebsk region as the alleged perpetrator of the terrorist attack in the Minsk metro on April 11. Well, of course, since we served together, that means we planned the bombing together. The oppositionist is the second proof. And the fact that the suspect in the explosion was a member of the pro-government Belarusian Republican Youth Union is probably a decoy.
Kalita was detained by the Gomel police department. At this time, he was returning from Ukraine and going to his grandfather’s funeral.
Later it became known that the father and older brother of the suspect in the terrorist attack were detained.
We would like to remind you that previously well-known human rights activist Pavel Levinov was detained on suspicion of committing a terrorist attack. This was preceded by the detention of journalist and human rights activist Valery Shchukin, independent journalist Oleg Borshchevsky and leader of the Our Home organization Olga Karach. They were accused of hooliganism - they allegedly swore at the police - and Levinov, who arrived at the place of detention, was charged with terrorism. He was arrested for ten days.
