Intelligence degradation
Now it’s even ridiculous to remember that in 2012, when the Ministry of Defense first held the International Security Conference, some enthusiasts in uniform said that over time it could become a platform for a serious interstate dialogue, to compete with Davos on Security - the Munich conference. If the VII conference on security, which opened on April 4 in Moscow, may indicate anything, then only to which the idea of dialogue degraded. The Western expert community for the most part ignored the event. The conference was boycotted by the officials of NATO states. The presence of more and more numerous delegations from Asia and Africa does not change the essence of the matter. It is no coincidence that the organizers, contrary to the usual, refrained from the publication of the list of participants.
In this situation, high -ranking domestic officials - Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu, head of the foreign policy, Sergey Lavrov, director of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, head of the SVR Sergey Naryshkin, concentrated on making their performances as confrontation as possible (obviously, on this basis in the Kremlin, the loyalty of security forces is now determined). So, four NATO battalion tactical groups, located in the Baltic countries, turned into an interpretation of Sergei Shoigu into a “10,000-strong contingent, which has all types of offensive weapons”. The head of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, as he should be, was talking about the fight against a terrorist threat. At the same time, he pressed that malicious terrorists widely use the Internet, social networks and messengers for their own purposes. The subtext was completely obvious - further restrictions and prohibitions in this area will be justified by the need to combat terrorism. The logic here is completely amazing. If you follow it, then the special services must soon put under the strict control the sale of potatoes or, for example, rice. Indeed, most terrorists have eaten these products. In fact, the fact is that the Internet scares the Russian chiefs with its non-control, the ability to become a tool of collective self-organization at some critical moment.
However, the greatest impression on me was made by Sergei Naryshkin's speech. Intelligence people are traditionally laconic and restrained in the manifestation of emotions. And if they make any public statements, then exclusively in order to warn society about impending dangers. Let us recall at least the SVR reports published in the mid-90s, which was then headed by Evgeny Primakov. One of them, dedicated to a nuclear threat on the Korean peninsula, clearly anticipated what we are observing now. As for Naryshkin, his speech was not an analysis of a more than complex international situation, but the quintessence of Kiselevsko-Solovyevsky five-minute hatred.

The damned Washington in its inescapable anger and the desire to maintain world hegemony took up arms against Russia, which not only demonstrates disobedience, but is also the outpost of the progressive, that is, in the new terminology - “polycentric” humanity. The West in the Naryshkin interpretation is trying to preserve the long -obsolete institutions with all his might. Among these, he calls not only NATO (statements about the obsolehood of the North Atlantic Alliance have long become a common place in the speeches of the Russian chiefs), but also ... the European Union. Here, as we can assume, irritation makes itself the position of the position of Western European states. Not only did the sanctions were imposed after the annexation of Crimea and the unleashing of the secret war in the Donbass (at the conference the topic of the Ukrainian crisis was practically not touched on - in the end it turned out that the West for no reason unfolded hostile actions against Russia), but also solidly supported Britain, on whose territory a terrorist act was committed.
The solidarity of Western states is a clearly sore theme for Naryshkin. He does not call the American allies other than the "satellite country". The head of Russian intelligence does not care about elementary logic at all. First, he states that “the West covered by fear of changes is ready to build a new iron curtain around him. At the same time, the level of hypocrisy that Washington and its satellites accompany the project to project so -called Western power. ” However, then it turns out that "even their faithful companions - Europeans begin to move away from the Americans." Whose help is Washington then build this same “iron curtain”?

A separate conversation is Naryshkin’s ideas about the internal development of Western society. According to the head of the SVR, “at present, under the pretext of the celebrations of freedom around the world, there is a violent erosion of traditional values, such as religion, nation, family and even gender ... It comes to the fact that the interests of the majority are openly infringed on the so -called democratic countries.” The fact that the “Geyropa” mired in the debauchery is degrading is another common place in the speeches of domestic politicians. But in the lips of the scout sounds strange. I remember that Sergey Naryshkin showed extraordinary joy after appointing the head of the SVR from the post of speaker of the State Duma. Well, they say, return to their native penalties. Now it turns out that the work inside a frantic printer has not passed without a trace. In this case, this nonsense is something like a foreign accent from a non-reconnaissance, which returned from a long foreign business trip. As you can see, it happens very adherently.
If all this is just an attempt to give the West a baking out with the help of uncomplicated sophisms and outright hypocrisy - hollow. Real trouble - if Naryshkin’s Exrasions contains the echo of the analysis and recommendations that the SVR sends to the Kremlin. The hostility of Vladimir Putin is well known to open sources. But he completely trusts the secret reports of the special services. And if the head of state is stuffed with such constructions, this is the actual threat of country's security.
