In the Primorsky Territory, Sergei Melnikov was arrested for two months on suspicion of belonging to Jehovah's Witnesses. This was reported on the website of Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia.
The man was detained on June 5, after which his house was searched and equipment was seized. Over the past year, three of Melnikov’s acquaintances have tried to talk to him about faith. During one of these conversations, the man was detained.
The religious movement notes in a statement that this is the seventh criminal case against Jehovah's Witnesses in the region.
