Let us remember that we are talking about the same dam in the Kerch Strait, because of which a full-scale conflict almost broke out between Russia and Ukraine a year and a half ago. Now the head of the Verkhovna Rada commission, Igor Ostash, claims that the dam caused a change in the speed and direction of the current in the strait, which, in turn, led to the erosion of not only the coastal part of the island itself, but also the neighboring Arshintsevskaya Spit, and it became necessary to resettle some of the residents. In short, Ukrainians want compensation.
