Legs up, Morris

Author: Natasha Markova

To stand out from his peers, British photographer Colton Morris takes photographs of himself upside down. Head in the toilet, for example.

There are many photographers, but only one Morris. To prove his uniqueness and originality, for several years now he has been setting a timer for 10 seconds, standing upside down and taking a photo. According to the Briton himself, there is not a hint of Photoshop in the collection called “Upside”, which he never tires of repeating on his Flickr page .

The experiment can safely be called dangerous: the hero of the photographs risks breaking not only his neck (which almost happened when trying to take a photo with pigs digging in the mud), but also other bones, or even, for example, drowning. Despite this, a smile often plays on the daredevil’s face.

In an interview with Wired.com, Morris explained the refusal of digital processing by the fact that art requires sacrifice. According to him, wrestling enhances the impression of tricks, and the limits you set for yourself make life more varied; without them, life is not so interesting.

A very unique idea aroused not only delight among Internet users, but also criticism: they were criticized mainly for the lack of cultural value of the photographs and for the fact that the guy was trying to attract attention to himself in a “cheap” way. But Colton is even happy about such responses.

I love how people seriously hate my photos! goo.gl/IDVIo

By the way, on his Twitter he wrote: “Stupid photos for stupid people.” What is it for?

No need to stress
