Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin said that if the government is headed by current President Dmitry Medvedev (remember, this was proposed by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in case he wins the elections), he will not work there.

According to him, quoted by RIA Novosti, he does not see himself in such a government. “I think that the differences that I have, they do not allow me to go to this government,” he said. The disagreements relate to economic policy, in particular, “substantial expenditures for military purposes.”

At the same time, Kudrin believes that Putin as president will be more active in carrying out reforms.

It should be recalled that while Putin and Medvedev maintained the intrigue about who would run for president, it was suggested that Kudrin would be prime minister under the future President Putin.
