Early in the morning of December 11, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism in Nizhny Novgorod broke into the apartments of “Other Russia” activists Yuri Staroverov and Ekaterina and Alexander Zaitsev. Interfax reports this with reference to the representative of the unregistered party, Alexander Averin. The search, according to Ekaterina Zaitseva, took place in connection with the events at the “March of Millions”, which took place in the city on September 15 without the sanction of the authorities. She was one of the organizers and was hit in the head with a baton by a riot policeman, from whom, according to investigators, she tore off his helmet. As we understand, the helmet of a riot policeman is valued more than the head of an opposition activist: they did not initiate a case against the riot police officer, but they opened a case regarding an alleged group attack on him.
And in Moscow, a search took place at the home of Solidarity activist Yuri Nabutovsky. He managed to tell Echo of Moscow that the search was connected with the scandalous NTV film “Anatomy of Protest-2” (remember, those accused in the case of preparing mass riots, initiated in the wake of the said film, are Left Front activists Sergei Udaltsov, Konstantin Lebedev and Leonid Razvozzhaev ), after which investigators took his phone away. Taisiya Alexandrova and Anna Kornilova were also searched in this case. Documents and information on electronic media were confiscated. Alexandrova, Kornilova and Nabutovsky were taken to the Investigative Committee (Udaltsov had also been there once again - Lebedev and Razvozzhaev are in custody in Lefortovo). The investigation allegedly has information that activists went to Lithuania in the spring of 2012 for a seminar dedicated to “the seizure of power using the example of “color” revolutions.” (It is known that some Russian oppositionists went to Lithuania in February 2012 for a seminar on election observation, and FSB representatives threatened to open a criminal case against one of the activists, Yuri Seutin, for treason.)
