It's bad to be an ex

The Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk prosecutor's office opened a criminal case against the former vice-governor of the Sakhalin region Sergei Osipov. The thing is that when taking office, Osipov, as it turned out, presented a fake diploma. And, what a horror, for two whole years the region was ruled by a man without a higher education. The fact that officials are people too, and therefore can buy diplomas like everyone else, is not great news. Another thing is interesting: who and why needed to check the authenticity of the former vice-governor’s diploma.
