Zhukovskie Vesti correspondent Anatoly Adamchuk himself organized the attack on himself in order to attract public attention, according to the local police department. Adamchuk himself told Ekho Moskvy that on the evening of November 9, people came to his hospital, identifying themselves as employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who stated that he had set everything up.

The attack on Adamchuk became known on November 8. Colleagues connected this with the fact that he wrote about an action in defense of the local forest, at which children were detained.

The Zhukovsky police department is determined. There they are going to close the assault case and initiate a new one, this time against Adamchuk, about a deliberately false denunciation. In addition, according to police officers, the person who attacked the journalist confessed that the attack was carried out by prior agreement with the victim.
