Donates 2.0

They reduced the commission, connected international cards, increased the shelf life until the withdrawal.

In July last year, we launched a donation system on TJ, providing users with the opportunity to encourage the authors. The technical partner on launch was the CloudPayments service, through which all operations for sending and withdrawing money took place.

During this time, we continued to study the market in search of a new partner in order to improve the conditions for users, and after a year we found it. From today, the Donatian system works directly through Tinkoff Bank.

The relocation will allow the authors to derive the donates on more favorable conditions, and we will have the opportunity to develop further, adding a new functionality for payments. Let's dwell on the main changes in the new donates in more detail.

Commission for conclusion

Thanks to the partnership with Tinkoff, it was possible to revise the commissions for the conclusion for users with Russian cards, making them significantly lower. We still do not set ourselves the goal of earn money on the donates, taking only the minimum percentage of technical support of the service.

The commission is ≈6.5%. The main logic remained unchanged: to withdraw separately small amounts like 250 rubles ( the minimum amount to withdrawal ) is not particularly profitable. But even in such a scenario, the commission decreased markedly.

Consider understandable examples:

• For 250 rubles, the commission will amount to 55 rubles.
• For 500 rubles - a commission of 65 rubles.
• For 1,500 rubles - a commission of 105 rubles.
• From 1800 rubles and above - 6.5%.

Support for Foreign Bank cards

In the new system, it became possible to send and withdraw donates using a map of a foreign bank. The process of sending is no different from the standard one, but the commission for the withdrawal is more - this does not depend on us.

The commission is ≈6.5% with a minimum amount of 150 rubles. It is completely unprofitable to withdraw small amounts, so we advise you not to rush and wait for the donates. We hope that the opportunity to use the service, being not in the Russian Federation, will block the inconvenience from an increased commission.

Approximate mathematics on conclusions on a card of a foreign bank:

• For 500 rubles, the commission will amount to 170 rubles.
  
• For 1,500 rubles - a commission 210 rubles.
• For 3000 rubles - a commission of 270 rubles.
• From 6000 rubles and above - 6.5%.

The shelf life of the donates

Any donat in the new system is stored on the user's balance of 150 days . After the deadline, there are two options:

1. We automatically display all the money to the user, provided that he has a card and there is a necessary amount for withdrawal.
2. We return a specific donat with an expired storage period for the sender. The rest of the donates remain with the user.

Avtovpers from a certain amount that was configured in the last system is now disabled.

Convenience for senders

In the new form of payment from Tinkoff, it became possible to send a donat using Apple Pay or Google Pay (will soon appear in our applications). Also, using the “Remember the Card” show, you can save your card so as not to enter it each time again ( the card is remembered on the side of the bank ). In this case, when paying, the bank will ask to enter only the CVV code.

The scenario of sending the donates and the rest of the conditions did not change. Money is attached to the comments of the first level under the article, and you can send an amount from 100 to 5000 rubles. All new donates are shown on the Donaty tab in the user profile.
