Dutch Google Maps parody tells you where you can take a free nap
A group of Dutch people have launched a service that suggests the best places to take a nap. This is reported by The Next Web .
The portal, similar to standard Google maps, is called Google Naps (“take a nap”). The authors describe it as a way to find "the coziest, coolest places in the world to get some well-deserved sleep."
The service range includes park benches, grassy edges, hospitable houses and even bridges suitable for recreation. All marks are created by the users themselves: in the card of each of them, in particular, you can find out why this or that place is attractive. Users are offered to feed the geese, relax in complete silence, or enjoy a wonderful view.
The service’s global map has already marked thousands of places where you can take a nap: from Greenland to the countries of South Africa. Russia still remains a blank spot: there are about a dozen icons throughout its territory, only two of which are in Moscow.
To avoid getting sued by Google, the creators of the service wrote an open letter to the company, in which they said that they only had a few hundred euros in their account, and they did not want to go to jail because of this joke, because they also have “others.” affairs". All they can offer Google for their prank is the opportunity to lie down comfortably on their couch in Holland.
In early March, was launched a similar joke service called AirPnP , designed to find toilets. It connects those who need to find a restroom with those who are willing to provide it.
