The scientifically revealed scientifically - popular Chrdk.ru portal - the joint brainchild of the TASS news agency and the Ministry of Education and Science. The “attic” promises to talk about the latest Russian and foreign scientific achievements, complementing the texts with infographics, photo and video materials, keep in touch with experts and scientists who can give a reasoned answer to readers' questions. The questions asked on behalf of the TRV-hunger Alexei Paevsky are answered by Alexander Borisov , the head of the TASS-Nauk project and the old author of our newspaper.
-Sasha, tell me in more detail how this project appeared and how did you get into TASS-JUKU? What is the target audience? Describe the essence of the project in one sentence.
- The project "The attic" was initiated by TASS and the Ministry of Education and Science. TASS was looking for a team that could take the creation of a portal from scratch - the development of a concept, design, editorial policy, and the production of technical specifications for developers - and then maintain its work at a high level. My employees and my employees were invited to work in the agency for this project. Our target audience is young people 15-40 years old (the core of the audience is 15-25 years old). The task is to popularize science and increase the level of education, establish contact between Russian scientists and our audience, it is also necessary to motivate people to study and learn new things.
-The scientific correspondents of ITAR-TASS among scientific journalists had very bad glory. Are you afraid of "bad background"?
- I did not work in TASS before, so I can’t judge how work with scientific news was built here. But I am not afraid of “bad background” because the “attic” is made by people who came to TASS for it, and we ourselves have a good background, motivation and mood for the future.
- Who is doing the “attic” now ? Imagine your team .
-The backbone of the team composed the team of the short-lived, but managed to establish well in the professional environment of the PRTI press service. These are the graduates of Fiztekh Anastasia Tmur and Vladislav Vazhnik-producer and art director of the project, as well as our scientific correspondents-Alexei Tymoshenko (ex-linta.ru, newspaper "Gazeta", "Moscow News") and Ekaterina Borovikova (ex-ria "News", Strf.ru , CNews). Recently, to my great joy, we were joined by Irina Yakutenko, well-known to readers of the TRV, the creator of Lenta.ru-Nauk, as well as the young scientific correspondent from the “Search” Tatyana Chernova.
- Tell me , why exactly the “attic” ? Why not TASS - science ?
- The name is an important part of work with the target audience. TASS-huke, you agree, is associated with a news agency, which produces B2B-News, and not with a youth scientific and popular portal. In addition, this is still a joint project with the Ministry, so TASS unequivocal branding would be, one way or another, not entirely correct.
- What are the goals and what indicators set the contract for you ?
- The most important guidelines are multimedia, oriented to the target audience, coverage of the work of Russian scientists. The indicators for the attendance of the portal are quite comfortable with us - 10 thousand unique users per month, but we, of course, set us much more serious tasks and strive for greater coverage. The first week of the portal (we launched on February 11) shows that we have potential: now two thousand people are reading us every day.
- How do you see this project in three years ?
- Oh, this is a difficult question for the leader a week ago a resource that did not sleep all this week (both are the resource and the leader). In fact, it is important for me to stop being a “project”, as they once stopped being a TRV-also a fairly young media. I think it’s clear what I'm talking about.
- In addition to the “attic”, you are also engaged in the “Open Na Ka” project . What is this project ?
- “Open Science” is generally a very important and interesting initiative, which, it seems to me, should be devoted to separate material. In short, this is an attempt to collect the efforts of scientific communications in our country and help them in the dialogue with the media, jointly spreading the news of universities and the research institute among interested scientific and unscientific journalists. I am in the scientific editor, the main work actually lies in the plane of working with news suppliers, as well as their subsequent distribution in the media, and here I would like to express admiration for the chief of the project Lena Brandt from SPN Communications, which has amazingly recovered into our scientific and popular problems and makes a very, very controversial, but terribly interesting, but terribly interesting Community.
