If the past elections to the Duma were just a farce, then the upcoming presidential elections today can already be called a farce in a square. I think that Mikhail Kasyanov, who received a refusal of registration from the CEC, should not even appeal this decision in the Supreme Court - the result is known in advance. But the democratic opposition has a certain win.
After removing the only candidate from the real opposition, the vote on March 2 will be held according to the Central Asian scenario - as a referendum in the favor of the current president or his successor. Apparently, the Kremlin decided to give Medvedev about 80 percent of the vote. Already now, sociological surveys give Zyuganov with Zhirinovsky 6-7 percent. The Technical Candidate Andrei Bogdanov, the great master of one of the Russian Masonic lodges, is unlikely to gain 1 percent - in the elections to the Duma, his Democratic Party received only 0.13% of the vote. But for decency in the CEC, a “technical candidate” can draw two or even three percent.
I note that the Central Asian rulers and Old Man Lukashenko have auxiliary candidates easier - the chairmen of collective farms and the director of factories. They have not reached the Masons there. Our Mason is all right. The cyc has no doubts about the authenticity of the signatures he collected.
Perhaps Bogdanov was registered only because, surrounded by Zyuganov, all louder said that the leader of the Communist Party should be removed, so as not to sink to the role of the clown. And to stay in the company of Zhirinovsky Dmitry Medvedev is worthless. Fighting one on one lawyer with the son of a lawyer would be completely indecent - what Europe will say! But Gennady Andreyevich did not let the Kremlin, is not going to act. And there is no need to worry about Vladimir Volfovich. He will play in full, have fun to the audience. In addition, in the presidential election, unlike parliamentary, the law provides for the threshold of turnout, so that Zyuganov and Zhirinovsky, with some electorate, invited the role of fair ones.
In general, there is no slightest intrigue in future presidential elections today. The real turnout will probably be even lower than in the elections to the Duma, but the wizards from the Central Election Commission will easily bring it to the required 60%. The experience of the Duma elections already has.
It is hoped that in Europe and America they realize what is happening in Russia, and solid organizations will not send observers to the presidential election, so as not to give them international legitimacy.
Meanwhile, the beginning of the election campaign already shows that Medvedev seems to be a real, not a puppet president. Already today, he confidently pushed Putin into the background on TV screens. It is clear that this is done for the purpose of massive election processing of voters. But our people have long been used to the fact that the king is the one who is most often shown on TV. And after the elections, it is unlikely that you can play back here, switching all your attention to Putin Prime Minister.
And we can suspect that Vladimir Vladimirovich will not want to stay in the shadow of Dmitry Anatolyevich and, after the elections from the proposed premiere, may refuse. After all, his consent to head the government is, first of all, a pre -election move designed to raise Medvedev’s rating. So far, polls indicate that the majority of the population supports the successor only thanks to his proximity to Putin. However, after the election, the people will love Medvedev in themselves, and Putin will begin to slowly forget.
As for Mikhail Kasyanov, he, with his knowledge of the Kremlin customs, probably expected such an outcome. Now the ex-Prime Minister can only try to lead the extra-systemic, extra-parliamentary opposition to the Putin-Medvedev regime. After all, the entire design of the authorities, executed in the Balagan-Fars Manae, will not be strong and can only hold until high energy prices allow to evade really fateful solutions. At the first serious crisis, this design can collapse, and then the question of the authorities will be resolved, unfortunately, on the streets, and not in the silence of high offices.
As for those who are really dear to the ideals of democracy, the refusal to register Kasyanov will only facilitate a political choice for them. Now it is clear not only that you should not go to the upcoming elections. It is clear that the parliamentary means of the struggle for democracy are almost exhausted. Unwarmed candidates will not only be allowed to choose, but even hold a pre -election campaign. Now everything will depend on the ability of a non-parliamentary opposition to rally around Kasyanov or any other leader and quite weightily declare itself, including through public organizations, so that the Kremlin will have to reckon with it before a deep national crisis.
