Consulting amendments were prepared by the second reading of the package member of the Federation Council Lyudmila Bokova.

"Communication operators will be required to store information on the territory of the Russian Federation for three years only about the facts of the connection between subscribers and/or subscriber devices and provide authorized state bodies engaged in operational -search activities or ensure the security of the Russian Federation, which is necessary to fulfill the tasks assigned to these bodies," the new version of the document says. According to Bokova, the amendments were agreed with the industry.

On April 15, it became known about the negative reaction of communication operators to the provisions of the bill on three -year data storage. If the law is adopted, for three years, a total of 1.7 billion data data will have to be stored. The cost of equipment necessary for storing such an amount of information will be about 70 billion rubles. But there are not enough data centers existing in Russia to place it. Given the additional costs (for example, for power, air conditioning), the cost of the industry for the implementation of the project can reach $ 200-300 billion. The infrastructure necessary for the compliance with the requirements of the bill will cost more the annual revenue of the operators.

A number of new articles are also introduced into the code. This, in particular, is an article on the assistance of extremist activity. Two other new compositions are a failure to crime a terrorist nature and an act of international terrorism.

Along with this, unicorn want to expand the list of grounds for prohibition of traveling abroad. In addition, the authors of the amendments want to expand the list of grounds for introducing the regime of a counter -terrorist operation.
