It's time to end the severity

According to statistics, the number of marriages performed in the Catholic Church decreased by 44% from 1994 to 2005, while the number of marriages registered by the state decreased by only 10%. In this regard, Cardinal Christoph Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna, said at a recent conference that “the Church must indicate the possibility of ecclesiastical divorce.” We also remembered the Orthodox Church, in which it is possible, under certain conditions, to enter into a second and even third marriage.
