Thus, at a press conference in Nizhny Novgorod, ex-Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov said that he was ready to withdraw his candidacy if the Democrats nominate another person as a single candidate. But first, he suggested that the Democrats make every effort to take a majority of seats in the new parliament, elections to which will take place in 2007.
